Five review criteria
The reviews hub evaluates rummy platforms against five calm, observable criteria. Each criterion is something an adult reader can record during a single table session — no benchmark data, no external tooling required.
- Lobby legibility. Whether the format selector, stake range and player count are visible above the fold on common mobile widths.
- Draw-to-discard latency. Time between selecting a card and seeing the discard appear, on a stable network.
- Session log completeness. Whether the platform exposes a per-hand record with timestamps for later self-review.
- Verification flow clarity. Whether the identity, bank-account and address steps are documented in the help centre.
- Responsible-play surface. Whether the responsible-play page exposes self-exclusion, deposit caps and time reminders.
Lobby legibility
Lobby legibility is the single most important platform quality for adult readers. A lobby that hides the stake selector behind a tap is a lobby that costs the reader a decision. The reviews hub records whether the format selector, the stake range and the player count are visible without scrolling.
Two further sub-criteria matter: the visible time-since-last-hand timer, and the documented stake rotation schedule. The first lets a reader wait calmly for a fair table; the second lets a reader plan a prime-time session.
Draw-to-discard latency
Draw-to-discard latency is the time between selecting a card from the closed pile and seeing the discard appear on the open pile. Adult readers report a calm session below roughly 200 milliseconds on a stable network; anything above 400 milliseconds is a friction point worth recording.
The measurement is observable, not theoretical. A reader can record ten latency samples during a single hand with a stopwatch app. The reviews hub does not aggregate these into a star rating; it records them as observations.
Session log completeness
Session log completeness measures whether the platform exposes a per-hand record with timestamps. A complete record lets an adult reader review the day's play the next morning, identify patterns, and set a calmer budget for the next session.
The reviews hub records whether the log is downloadable, whether it includes the per-discard sequence, and whether the log is retained across account sessions. These are observable behaviours, not claims.
